The challenge at hand was to take what was an irrelevant and tired product (the Ford Focus), and get a new, younger audience to take notice of the new Focus on their social platforms. The solution? A puppet, of course. I credit Ford and a truly genius team for the best work I have ever been a part of. And, of course, the comedic genius of Paul Feig (Freaks and Geeks, Bridesmaids, Spy), Paul F. Thompkins and John Ross Bowie. Google that trio. If you want to be funny, bring funny to the table.
Oh yeah, the WSJ (blog, sure, still counts) noticed.
